There's a difference between reading specs on a screen and standing at a bench with the build in your hands.
You can study barrel profiles, chambering options, and Marblekote colorways all day online. But none of that tells you how a rifle shoulders. How it tracks. How it feels when everything clicks into place and you know — before you ever pull the trigger — that this is the one.
That's exactly what Brenton Proving Ground is built for.
What Is Brenton Proving Ground?
Brenton Proving Ground is a free, hands-on shooting day at the Brenton USA testing range in Michigan. It's open to the public, it costs nothing to attend, and it's designed around one simple idea: serious hunters deserve to put a Brenton in their hands before they make a decision.
No sales pressure. No scripted product walkthroughs. Just builds, gear, and honest conversation with the people who design and assemble them.
This is the first event in a recurring series. We're committing to this because we believe the range is where questions get answered that no product page ever could. We plan to keep running these events so that more hunters get that experience — and so the Brenton community has a place to show up, connect, and geek out over builds together.
What You'll Get to Do
When you arrive on July 11th, you're not walking into a trade show booth. You're walking onto a working range.
Here's what the day looks like:
Handle every configuration we make. The Scout Fixed, Scout Adjustable, Tracker Fixed, and Guide will all be available to shoulder, handle, and shoot. Each model is built for a different hunting scenario, and the best way to understand the difference between them is to feel it firsthand. Whether you're a whitetail hunter who wants something compact and maneuverable or a long-range shooter running tough terrain, there's a configuration built around your style of hunt.
See Marblekote colorways in person. Our Marblekote finish is one of the most distinctive things about a Brenton build — and it's one of those things that photos simply don't do justice. The depth, the pattern variation, the way it looks in natural light — you have to see it in person to appreciate it. On July 11th, you'll be able to see every available colorway side by side and decide what fits your setup.
Design your own build with the Brenton team. This is where the day gets personal. You'll have the chance to sit down with our team and talk through your own custom configuration from the ground up — chambering, furniture, finish, and everything in between. Walk away with a clear picture of exactly what your Brenton build looks like before you ever place an order.
Who You'll Be Talking To
Brandon Kafer will be running the day on-site. Brandon brings deep product knowledge and a straightforward approach — he's not there to sell you something, he's there to help you figure out what actually makes sense for the way you hunt.
The broader Brenton team will be on hand as well, giving you direct access to the people who know these builds inside and out. If you have a question — about components, chamberings, fit, or field performance — this is the place to ask it.
